From Marina Cyrino’s amplified flute and objects, Tony Elieh’s bass and electronics, JD Zazie’s playback devices and field recordings to Matthias Koole’s no-input mixer and guitar, each member has developed a highly personal approach to their instruments.
The quartet’s debut album Fuchsia Fever is a live recording of a concert at Morphine Raum in Berlin. The high-energy performance consists of two unedited tracks entitled “hyperpyrexia” and “hypnopompia”, which take the listener through imaginary worlds of instrumental landscapes, bioelectric forests, static images and gestural scenes.
From restless grooves to droning monotony, acoustic and electronic elements are constantly shifting, passing through in a feverish dream. Oversaturated sweat between dreaming and waking, a constant kaleidoscopic movement of sounds shaped by mosquito wings.
